New position available, increasing from 2 vets to 3
A gem of a practice set in the idyllic Norfolk Broads is looking to recruit a permanent SA veterinary surgeon.
The practice encourages further development and study. We are staffed with capable RVNs as well as an eager student nurse, patient care assistants and receptionists.
A workup of cases, where appropriate, is encouraged by the individual veterinary surgeon so the surgery is well equipped with microscopes, ECG, digital X-ray, internal Idexx lab, colour flow/Doppler ultrasound, Storz video endoscope, BP monitoring, capnography and ventilators, good dental equipment. In-house library and access to online journals too.
Ideally you will be confident in surgery and consultations, enthusiastic, friendly and proactive. However, support is available and therefore applications will be considered from those with less experience including recent graduates.
You will work a 35-40 hour week (8.30am – 6.30pm) with a mixture of consulting and surgery time as well as time allocated for administrative duties and study
Consults are 15 minutes, longer if considered necessary.
We offer 30–35-day holiday (inclusive of bank holidays) per year. Additional holiday is available for longer service.
Currently no out of hours work. You will be required to work 1 in 4 Saturday mornings 8.30am to 1pm
Funding and time off for CPD is available and we would be willing to fund toward a certificate for the right person.
