Hospitalisation

Nurses regularly check all in-patients and intensive care is given to those that need it. If an animal is staying with us for on-going treatment, owners are welcome to come visit. We usually do this at a time that is quiet and convenient for you and for us.

K-Laser Therapy

K-Laser devices deliver specific wave lengths and frequencies of laser light to produce a therapeutic effect on the body. The K-laser will:

  • Increase circulation
  • Decrease swelling
  • Reduction in pain
  • Tissue repair
  • K-laser is a painless procedure and does not require any sedation or anaesthesia.

Inpatient Care

If your pet is seen at Broadland House and they require further work up and treatment during the hours of 08.30 and 18.30 this will be completed at Broadland House Vets.

After the hours of 18.30 out inpatient service is provided by Westover Veterinary Centre. This may entail you collecting your pet and taking them to Westover.

However, if your pet is stable and does not need 24hour care then it is possible for them to stay at Broadland House Vets. It is important to be aware that there are no staff permanently on the premises after 19.00.

Your pet will be checked periodically throughout the evening and if needed overnight, however there is not a member of staff with them at all times. The building is secure and alarmed when no one is on the premises.

The decision as to whether your pet is taken to Westover Vets overnight or kept at Broadland House is down to you as your pet’s owner and the veterinary surgeon in charge of your pet’s treatment.

If your pet must stay at Westover Vets overnight, they will contact us the following morning and let us know what the clinical condition of your pet is and if they are suitably stable to travel back to Broadland House.

On a rare occasion, Hilary may take your pet home to care for. The premises is fully registered and there are facilities to take care of your pet. You will be made aware of this if this is the case for your pet.
